With a heart full of gratitude for the many blessings which have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science I wish to add my testimony to those which have appeared in our periodicals.

About two years ago an itching sensation and extreme pain attacked me. As no physician was consulted, I do not know what medical science would have named this malady. I began to work in Science as we are taught to do, but the condition persisted. A practitioner was called and worked for me for two or three days.

As the condition had formed into an abscess that had become very painful when I walked or moved, I remained home from the office for two days. On the third day, however, it was imperative that I return to the office. While I was dressing, the abscess opened and began to drain. Through the operation of Truth the complete healing was soon manifest.

Afterward a very fine line, as though made by a surgeon's knife, could be discerned. This was the first proof I had had of mental surgery. Following this healing I had a spiritual awakening, and everything I read in the writings of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, or the periodicals seemed to unfold with a clearness that I had never before experienced.

Through the application of the blessed truths of Christian Science I have experienced many other healings. Chronic sick headaches and constipation have been healed, and fear of falling has been overcome. On several occasions living quarters have been found when the housing shortage was most acute. Through my constant knowing that I was ever about my Father's business a bookkeeping service has grown from small beginnings to a point where it now brings in a very comfortable income.

For all the healings I have received through Christian Science I am profoundly grateful, but most of all I am grateful to God for that inspired and consecrated woman, Mrs. Eddy, who has given us the revelation of God's law. I am grateful too for the faithful, loving practitioners, who answer our calls at any hour of the day or night, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, where I have the privilege of serving the Cause of Christian Science. —(Miss) Harriet L.
