AFTER THE LECTURE
The
gracious truth
has once again been voiced to bless;
It cannot lose its mark, or turn to void
Within those hearers' hearts. Its strength and tenderness
Were such as went beyond the words themselves.
God's Word, perfect,
thus fulfills its destiny,
Rejoicing in the power to heal all strife
Of selfish will, dull prejudice, and apathy,
And all the ills of flesh. So in their place
Have Truth and Love
established their own calm and peace—
Clarifying concepts dimmed with care,
Uplifting thought to see and know the sure surcease
Through Mind's true logic and its potency.
Receptive hearts have gone their way. For them
There shone the seamless robe, the healing hem.
