LOVE IS ALWAYS THE WAY

That to love is always the way to overcome evil was clearly demonstrated by Christ Jesus and is being proved today by countless students of Christian Science. The love that overcomes evil is not the false, material sense of love often entertained by mankind, but the spiritual, scientific demonstration of love which expresses the spiritual understanding that God is Love.

In the epistle to the Hebrews (1:9) we read that Christ Jesus "loved righteousness, and hated iniquity," and the Gospels abound with incidents which indicate that Jesus completely understood and perfectly embodied divine Love. He was constantly expressing such spiritual discernment, affection, wisdom, and power that he quickly healed sickness, cast out sin, raised the dead, and lifted receptive individuals from false fears and indulgences to higher ideals and practices.
