Of Good Report

In the Sentinel of April 26, 1952, attention was drawn to the opportunity afforded to Christian Scientists who travel on ocean-going liners to bring healing and comfort to others through a Christian Science church service held on board ship.

Application for this privilege should be made to the purser of the ship either immediately before or during the voyage. One usually finds that the purser is pleased to allot a time and place for the service and to place a notice on the bulletin boards.

Christian Scientists who take the initiative in this matter should be familiar with the Order of Sunday Services as given in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy. The current Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly should be read. If it is not possible, however, to arrange for the singing of the solo, Item No. 6 of the service would have to be omitted.
