we have experienced many healings and other proofs of God's omnipotence and omnipresence and then seem to become mesmerized by mortal mind's lurid pictures of hate, war, lack, malice, destruction, and disaster, so that we find ourselves deep in a cave of despondency and despair, it is very helpful to read of the trials and victories of Elijah, as given in the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth chapters of I Kings.
Two
students of Christian Science, traveling south on a western highway, suddenly came upon a vast field of glowing sunflowers, acres upon acres of them, all facing with perfect unanimity to the light.

In the Sentinel of April 26, 1952, attention was drawn to the opportunity afforded to Christian Scientists who travel on ocean-going liners to bring healing and comfort to others through a Christian Science church service held on board ship.
When Christian Science found me I was so miserable that I did not want to live; yet I was afraid to die, because I believed that sinners go to hell.
While I was visiting at my sister's home during a period of severe drought we were told by telephone that a bad fire was raging in our vicinity and that our property and lives were in danger.
Several years ago a leading orthopedic surgeon was required to testify in court regarding injuries I had received in an automobile accident.
I am very grateful to God for Christ Jesus and for Mary Baker Eddy, as well as for the opportunity of giving this testimony.
My introduction to Christian Science came through a friend who told me of the truths that had healed her of grief when her child passed on.
