We read in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This statement was proved to me some time ago when I awakened one morning to find myself covered with red spots and sores. I tried to work for myself in Christian Science as best I knew how, but the shock that I experienced upon seeing myself in the mirror and the fear that possessed me were more than I could bear; so I immediately called a Christian Science practitioner, who came to me at once. Her consciousness was so filled with love and compassion that I was healed of the fear almost immediately, and the complete healing of the condition soon followed. Indeed, as Paul said (Hebr. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword."

My husband was so impressed by the quick results that he said. "I could never doubt the healing power of Christian Science after witnessing this healing." During the time that the healing was taking place I studied faithfully the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings. I allowed nothing but the truth, as taught in Christian Science, to enter my consciousness and constantly claimed my at-one-ment with the perfect Mind. The love and fearlessness of the practitioner and my husband at this time will always be remembered with gratitude.

In The Christian Science Journal of April, 1934, I expressed my gratitude for the healing of bronchitis and pyorrhea. These healings have been permanent. Since then my blessings have been many, and Christian Science has never failed me when I have put myself completely in God's care.
