WHAT IS THE SECRET PLACE?

What is the secret place,
That he who dwells therein
Is shielded from all fear?

What is this mighty fortress
In which I find release
From pestilence and sin?

It is the house of Principle—
Of lawful, ordered thoughts—
In which the affluence of Love
Annuls all false desire.

Built of Spirit's substance,
Which never can decay,
This house of mine is furnished
With purity and peace.

Honest motives, deathless joy,
Are welcomed here from Truth and Life,
While ignorance can never pass
The gates of wisdom found in Mind.

This is my castle.
Within its walls of living rock
I dwell serene and whole.
Clad in robes of seven hues,
Blest of the almighty Soul.
