I was interested to read "The Testimony of a Doctor" in the article "Can Faith Heal?" which appeared in a recent issue of the Star Sports. In it the doctor quoted cases given up by [doctors] which were healed by prayer.

The Advisory Panel of Church of England Bishops is to be congratulated on bringing these healings before the public. But they are not miracles. They are the fulfillment of God's promises to those who seek His ever-present aid. One such promise, in the fifth chapter of James, reads: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him ... And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up. ..."
