Rochester, New York (Second Church).

Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Rochester, Maplewood Avenue at Seneca Parkway, will dedicate its beautiful Early Christian, or Byzantine, edifice at tomorrow's services, 10.45 a.m. and 5 p.m.

With imposing doorways and inscribed sides, the brick and buff sandstone structure occupies a distinctive site at an angle of the wooded terrain of Maplewood Park. The interior, in keeping with the unusual exterior, bears on the auditorium ceiling colorful murals by Ezra Winter, the artist who painted the Eastman Theater murals. The lighting is featured by quaint suspended lanterns known as Aureane cylinders. The platform has a rich walnut background and a foreground rising in the center to form a large elliptical desk of the same wood. The auditorium, of classical design, seats eight hundred and ten persons in opera chairs. The aconstics are said to be of unusual excellence.
