Having en joyed the blessed benefits of Christian Science for many years, I feel impelled to give my testimony to its healing efficacy. My healings have been many. One of them occurred two years ago. I was suffering from a severe congestion of the chest, was unable to breathe without difficulty, and could neither eat nor sleep. This condition lasted for three days, although I continued to deny the error, to declare that my true selfhood is spiritual and eternal, and to pray for a clearer understanding of the perfect and harmonious man of God's creation.

The fourth day I called for the help of a practitioner. Her assuring and comforting words came over the telephone, "You have really called to acknowledge the Christ which heals." Immediately I felt a sense of peace and joy; and I knew that the healing was taking place. My heart was filled with gratitude for the priceless gift of Christian Science.

A few hours later my chest was relieved of the congestion that had caused my suffering. No pain was felt during this experience. I was instantly free and was able to rise. The physical difficulties that had accompanied the congestion disappeared, and health was restored to normal. The words from the Bible came to me (Hebr. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword."
