An editorial in the Sentinel of September 29, 1951, entitled "The Prophylactic Art," describes the preventive power of Christian Science as I have experienced it for many years. My father went into the practice of Christian Science in 1895; so his children have had the benefit of Christian Science all through the years.

It is hard to recall the many times I have been protected and healed. One healing was of blood poisoning, affecting the leg to the knee. After a few days of treatment my father said that I was healed, although to all appearances it did not seem so. In a few hours, however, the appearance changed, and the healing became evident.

At another time, while holding a baby I began to fall down some stairs. My thought turned instantly to God, and this message came as clearly as though someone were beside me: Throw yourself back. I did so, and we slid down in safety.

I shall always be grateful to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mrs. Eddy, as well as for the activities of our movement, including the privilege of class instruction.—(Mrs.) Ida C. Bartlett Bush, South Windsor, Connecticut.
