ALONE WITH GOD

In the law of Love there is no consciousness of failure, no lapse from perfection. Love holds and governs its ideas in righteous order and harmony. Therefore, as one grasps the truth of man's eternal perfection he knows that it is never too late—never too late to be good, never too late to be well, never too late to be happy, never too late to demonstrate man's true sonship.

If one has cherished the belief that he is a castaway, cursed of God and condemned by men, Christian Science declares that now is the time for him to awaken from that dream and claim man's spiritual heritage. Said Paul (Phil. 3:13, 14), "This one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Christian Science calls upon us to forget the past with its mistakes and errors and, like Paul, reach forth unto those good things that are before. It declares that there is no such thing as an unrepentant sinner, not one that may not be saved, no past, however evil, that may not be recognized as the dream that it really is.

In Christian Science we do not live in the past, but in the eternal now of Love's unfoldment. Having discerned man's true relationship to his creator, is it sacrilegious, then, for us to assert and claim the son-ship which Christ Jesus demonstrated? Having perceived man's spiritual identity and individuality, we see that there is, as the Apostle Paul declared (Rom. 8:1), "no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
