Twenty-three years ago, at a time...

Twenty-three years ago, at a time of grave bodily weakness and mental distress, Christian Science came to my aid and healed me. My three-months-old son had had an operation, and it was thought he could not live to grow up. A kind friend brought a Christian Science practitioner to see him, and that was the beginning of my emergence from many troubles. That son is now a young man, healthy and happy, enjoying his life and his training as an architect, and putting to good use the teaching that he had in Sunday School from devoted Christian Scientists.

When a small boy he had an instantaneous healing of a surgical nature. My work had taken me from home for a week. When I returned it was to find that he had not been able to put his foot to the ground in that time. A dear one had called a doctor, who was to come the next day to take the boy to hospital for an X ray and to put the foot in a plaster cast. I telephoned a practitioner in a city some hundred miles away, had three minutes' conversation with him, and received his promise to work for my son. The result was instantaneous healing. When the doctor called the next day the boy was running and jumping; the doctor could not understand it.

Many times this son has healed himself through Christian Science; many times he has helped me. His education came through the demonstration of ever-present intelligence and supply, as did his elder brother's. Thanks to their understanding of divine Mind, they passed all their examinations with high marks and gained a reputation for brilliance and dependability.
