Beloved disciple, whose days uncounted ran,
An angel touched your brow
And gave you inspiration to avow
That God is Love.

Spiritual seer, who for a sleeping world
In self-renunciation
On Patmos saw the revelation—
Man's oneness with God!

Mind's messenger, Love alone explains
Your prophecy that woman would reveal
The Comforter divine to heal
Through all eternity.
