The purpose of this testimony is to express my deepest gratitude for a recent healing in Christian Science which came through the loving work of a consecrated Christian Science practitioner. The difficulty was virus influenza in its worst stage. I had been having absent treatment for nearly a week, but my condition had not improved very much. I asked a friend who lived in the same house with me to call the practitioner and tell her that I needed more help.

This friend was not a Christian Scientist, and my suffering and the symptoms of the disease frightened her, although she lovingly cared for me as well as she knew how. She told the practitioner of her fears for me, and the practitioner made a personal call upon me. When she arrived my friends were with me and had been urging me to go to a hospital, as they thought I was passing on. The practitioner thanked them for their care of me and asked them all to leave the room. Then she sat quietly beside my bed and gave me a treatment.

I mentioned to her that if I had no relief from this condition I did not know what I should do. She told me that whatever needed to be done, God could do and that I must trust His care. After a few moments of treatment I said I could not understand why I had no circulation. The practitioner said that in Christian Science we turn things into thoughts and that in the realm of spiritually mental concepts there is perfect circulation going on all the time, the circulation of right spiritual ideas from God, the Father-Mother, to the child of God, which in reality I was. I could see the truth of this as she said it, and in a very few minutes the functions of my body assumed normal activity; I became warm, and my body felt natural again. I slept well and was able to be up the next day. The following day I was able to cook and eat a normal meal and digest it, and I have been fine ever since.
