THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE LECTURE
Cries
of the multitude in the valley
of decision
In desert places of the heart
where sorrow stalks, and pain makes mute the tongue,
and sin exacts its equal price
We watch with them beside
their empty lamps. If ours be bright
with joy of knowing God,
oh, let it shine with Love's pure power
this hour,
to lead them gently home.
So will their lamps be filled
at fount of Truth. The gates will open
and the miracle of prayer release
to them, to all,
God's healing love—God's peace.
