I am most humbly grateful for Mrs. Eddy's selfless devotion to all mankind in giving to the world her discovery of Christian Science, the revelation of divine Truth. No one who has read Science and Health, the Manual of The Mother Church, and her other published writings with an honest desire to understand them could doubt that they were divinely inspired.

I have had many wonderful healings, some through my study of the above-mentioned writings and others through the loving help of practitioners. Through my immediately turning to God for help some of these healings have been instantaneous. The slower healings have caused me to study Christian Science more diligently and to apply what I had already learned.

I am very grateful for the healing of strained ligaments in both legs, the result of an accident. When it appeared that I would not be able to walk I insisted that matter could make no conditions for an idea of divine Mind. I went on with what I was doing and went to work the next day as usual. It was my custom to walk the four blocks to and from my place of business, and my work required that I be on my feet all day. I was employed at the time by one who had studied medicine and was quite skeptical of Christian Science. When he saw the swelling in my legs he told me that I would be permanently crippled if I did not stay off my feet until the ligaments were healed. I called a consecrated practitioner, who lovingly helped me to see the nothingness of the claims of mortal sense, and I did not miss a day from my work. The healing was soon complete, and it has remained permanent.
