I wish to express my deep appreciation for all the benefits received through my study and application of Christian Science and for the practitioners who, through their understanding of man's unity with God, lift us out of the mesmeric beliefs of mortal mind.

There have been many proofs of the efficacy of Truth in our household. Even those who are not students of Christian Science have called for help in their extremity and have received instantaneous healings. Ulcerated teeth have been healed in a short time, and on two occasions I was able to free my son quickly from a sore throat and bad cold by declaring that he was, in reality, God's perfect child and that now was the time to prove this truth.

One outstanding healing was that of a virus infection which came upon me very suddenly one morning, causing much pain and nausea. The practitioner who was called for help asked my husband to read to me Hymn No. 412 in the Christian Science Hymnal, which begins with these words: "O dreamer, leave thy dreams for joyful waking." In a few minutes I fell asleep, and when I awoke I literally had left my dream "for joyful waking" and was perfectly healed. I thanked God that I was able to be about my household duties that afternoon.
