A STUDENT'S RELIANCE ON MIND

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

Does the suggestion come to you that it is necessary to take a subject in school that has no appeal? Or, perhaps, the suggestion comes that you do not possess sufficient intelligence to master a certain subject. Whether it is a question of overcoming dislike or a matter of rejecting a belief of limitation, Christian Science shows the way to victory.

Through studying the teachings of Christian Science the student gains an understanding of divine Mind. He learns that he is not a limited mortal, possessing only a very inadequate human mind. He learns that God is infinite Mind, whose intelligence and wisdom are his by reflection. And he quickly learns to discredit any human opinion that may have been voiced regarding a belief called his intelligence quotient. Because God is infinite and possesses all the intelligence there is, man, His image, must of necessity reflect infinite intelligence.

By claiming his true identity as the reflection of Spirit and knowing that man cannot express apathy, inertia, or indifference, a student will soon find that aversion has been replaced by the confident expectancy of good, and he will see the disappearance of dislike from his consciousness. As the student aligns his thinking with Principle and relies on divine Mind to govern him he will demonstrate with scientific accurancy the dominion that is rightfully his as the likeness of God.
