Deep gratitude for Christian Science prompts me to praise God through this testimony for His wonderful guidance.

My relatives and I were privileged to experience the protection of divine Love, particularly at the time of an invasion and during the situation existing in Europe after World War II. Protection from violence, cruelty, and underhand dealings of every nature was experienced, and we proved that God is the source of all good. We were well provided for and gave generously to many in need.

In the summer of 1950 we were living in Silesia in the Eastern Zone of Germany. I cannot conceive how we could have borne up under the hardships had it not been for Christian Science. I had in my possession the Bible and the writings of Mrs. Eddy and gained from them the necessary strength and understanding for each day. Contact with practitioners in other zones in Germany was a great help to me.
