Making Christian Science Better Known

Glamorganshire, Wales One listener, speaking of The Mother Church transcribed programs, writes, "I like the conciseness of this program, and although brief it is very beautifully compiled with each item always in its right place." As a result of this program, which is heard by many who are not Scientists, inquiries for information are received from time to time.

South Carolina Seven radio stations broadcasted the transcribed programs of The Mother Church throughout the year, and many letters requesting information about Christian Science were received. One woman after listening to the programs requested that literature be sent to her. Shortly thereafter she asked that the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, be sent to her. In a few months she wrote saying that she had been made a better person because of the teachings of Mrs. Eddy. She also said that she had suffered from asthma since childhood and had used medicine continually, but since reading Science and Health she had discontinued using medicine and was trusting in God's goodness and mercy and was much improved.

Another woman requested information, and the Assistant Committee in that locality was asked to visit her. She was found to be very receptive to Christian Science and had borrowed a copy of the textbook. The Assistant also reported that another inquirer living near had bought Science and Health and was having Christian Science treatment. These broadcasts are doing a great work in our field in helping to make Christian Science better understood and deserve the loyal support of all Christian Scientists.
