LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

[A minister's] kind reference to Christian Scientists is appreciated, but to call Christian Science a "semireligious cult" is presumptuous and wrong.

Mary Baker Eddy's suggestion that the syllables of the name Adam could symbolize obstruction is logical when her meaning is seen. "As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." Did not Paul convey that it is the Adamic sins that obstruct Christianity? A dam obstructs, just as sinful beliefs obstruct the truth. Pent-up waters are definable as a dam. Cannot these be likened to stagnant mortals?
