"Gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks. Action expresses more gratitude than speech," we are told on page 3 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. These words of our Leader's have inspired me to submit my testimony, without further delay, as a proof of God's goodness and allness and of man's unity with Him.

I joined an orthodox church in my early teens, but its teachings did not satisfy my longings for a better understanding of God and His creation. When a friend lovingly gave me some Christian Science literature to read I immediately knew that I had found what I had been searching for. After a year's study of Science I became a member of The Mother Church and a branch church.

During the influenza epidemic following the First World War, I had an opportunity to prove the efficacy of the healing power of the truth I loved so much. With the help of a friend, who was also a new student, and my study of the textbook I was instantaneously healed of influenza. It was such a wonderful experience that I wanted to shout it from the house-tops to the entire world.
