During the ten years that I have been interested in Christian Science a great change has come about in my thinking and consequently in my whole life. Although from early years I believed in God, worshiped Him, and prayed to Him, I always held the belief that for certain persons life must be hard and merciless and that I was one of those persons. To be the recipient of anything good was just not meant for me, I thought. However, through the study and application of Christian Science and with the help at times of consecrated practitioners I have been enabled to prove the falsity of that belief.

In 1941, through my very small understanding of Truth, the way opened for me to leave the surroundings in which I lived and to make a fresh start. Since then I have experienced the more abundant life of which the Master spoke when he said (John 10:10), "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

In 1945, in spite of the housing shortage, a house was found through the help of a practitioner, who reminded me of Jesus' words (John 14:2), "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you." The unfoldment of supply with which to furnish and maintain this house has been very beautiful, as has also the supply needed to feed and clothe two small daughters. For the teaching they are receiving in the Christian Science Sunday School I am very grateful. Before coming into the light of Truth I would have believed it impossible for me to be strong enough to have children.
