When my husband took a position in which he had to travel, my fear because our child and I would be left alone at night was so great that I could not sleep, This caused much discord in the home. One day a neighbor, who is a Christian Scientist, came to see me and called my attention to a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I had had in my possession, but which I had never read.

She told me that if I would take the book and read it when I felt afraid, I would be healed. This I did, and from then on I was not afraid to stay alone at night. This healing came about by my just reading the book.

I found great pleasure and joy in studying daily the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. I am now a member of The Mother Church and a branch church and have had class instruction.
