From the time I was a very small child I can remember searching for something. My searching always led me to some material thing, and as a result I was never satisfied. It is interesting to note that although I attended the Christian Science Sunday School, at that time I did not recognize this Science to be that for which I was searching. My searches took me through the gamut of physical pleasures, and it was not until my Army experience that the seed planted many years before began to take root.

As a member of a great air-borne division I saw war and human nature at its worst. In desperation I started studying the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy which I had with me, but which had been more or less dead weight until that time. During the last six years the desire for medicine, social drinking, and smoking left me, and I have also been healed of the results of a wartime injury, sinus trouble, hay fever, and other ills.

I should like to relate my first instantaneous healing in Christian Science, which occurred about two years ago. I experienced a physical trouble consisting of influenzalike symptoms, including a severe headache. One Wednesday evening found me in church, but I can hardly remember how I got there. My condition grew continually worse, and although I can remember the fine quality of the testimonies, I found it almost impossible to rise for the singing of the hymns.
