Increasing Public Interest in Christian Science

The protection which our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, provided for the public's right to a proper understanding of Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder evidences her great love for humanity. Article XXXIII of the Manual of The Mother Church guarantees each man or woman the right to be correctly informed concerning that which when individually accepted and demonstrated assures his salvation.

To appreciate the import to mankind of this Manual provision, one has only to consider the utter hopelessness and despair which would be abroad in the world today if misrepresentation, bigotry, evil propaganda, and governmental regulation had been permitted to deafen the ears and blind the eyes of men to the revelator and her revelation.

The Annual Meeting of The Mother Church was the event most widely reported in Oregon during the year covered by this report. For the first time specially prepared releases were submitted to radio stations. We gratefully acknowledge their use by newscasters and commentators in the state.
