It is a real privilege to be able to testify to God's loving care. Although as a child I attended the Christian Science Sunday School, a number of years followed in which the so-called pleasures of material sense predominated, causing many unhappy experiences, and I had severe illnesses under the doctors' care. Then I became dissatisfied with that way of living and much afraid of it. I decided to find my way back to "my Father's house," in which, according to Jesus (John 14:2), "are many mansions"; but it was a great struggle. I can never be sufficiently grateful to a dear practitioner who by her own example of humility and love for God was a constant source of inspiration when I needed it.

I spent most of my days studying the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, until self-will was replaced by a desire to be obedient to God. During this time I became a member of a branch church, where I began to learn unselfishness, co-operation, and patience through working on various committees. I was healed of social drinking, which had been increasing; and a kidney complaint, hives, a severe burn on my face and neck, loneliness, colds, fear, and nervousness were healed.

I can never express enough gratitude to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who provided the opportunity for class instruction, which gives us a practical knowledge of Christian Science, so that we can heal ourselves and others. A happy life resulting from the regenerating power of divine Love is great cause for gratitude.—(Mrs.) Florene Burnham Lazar, Flushing, New York.
