When quite a young woman, I was suffering from a severe nervous condition. Intense pain in the stomach made it almost impossible for me to take any nourishment. Exhaustion and weakness followed, and I was indeed sick at heart.

At this time one of my friends told me of Christian Science. After I had read the chapter on Prayer in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I wanted to know more about this Science, because its teachings impressed me as being logical as well as beautiful.

Absent treatment by a Christian Science practitioner was given late one afternoon. That evening I ate a hearty dinner without pain, fear, or discomfort of any kind. The healing took place at that time, and gradually I became stronger and my whole outlook on life changed.
