I wish to express my sincere gratitude to God for all the blessings that I have received since taking up the study of Christian Science, and especially for the healing of a hip injury.

The help of a practitioner was called for and lovingly given, and within an hour I was able to rise and, with assistance, walk across the room. My healing was not an instantaneous one; but when I refused to be influenced by material laws and stood firmly for the truths I had learned in the Bible and in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I found my freedom and was enabled to go about my normal activities.

I am most grateful for the early realization that it was not a physical healing I was seeking, but a spiritual purification of thought. At this time a poem entitled "Demonstration" in the September, 1947, issue of The Christian Science Journal was instrumental in removing the error in my thinking. Mrs. Eddy's words in Science and Health on page 124, lines 26 to 31 and on page 424, lines 5 to 11, gave me needed strength and courage to complete the demonstration.
