Massillon, Ohio (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, located at the corner of Lincoln Way East and Third Street Northeast, was dedicated on Sunday, March 11, 1951, at services held in the morning and afternoon.

It was on Wednesday evening, January 27, 1904, that the first meeting of organizers of the Massillon branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, was held. Up to this time these Christian Scientists had been attending First Church of Christ, Scientist, Canton. By virtue of their increasing numbers and a desire for their own church in Massillon, they signed articles of incorporation and applied for recognition from The Mother Church, which was granted on February 2.
