FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Providing Enlightenment on the Subject of Christian Science

Maryland

Our radio programs, our various kinds of advertising in newspapers, the articles about Christian Science that have appeared in popular magazines, the esteem enjoyed by The Christian Science Monitor, the work of each activity of The Mother Church and its branches, and the universal belief in the stress of the time have all contributed to an increased interest in Christian Science, resulting in many invitations to address groups seeking information about our religion.

An address on Christian Science was given to teachers of the Baltimore Board of Education. This meeting was held in the edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Baltimore. A Christian Scientist who attended wrote: "One of the most inspiring meetings I ever attended was the 'Community Workshop Meeting' with public school teachers addressed by our Committee on Publication. There were nearly two hundred teachers present. As they came in, they were given a copy of the Monitor and the Christian Science Quarterly. The attention was very marked. Indeed, I have never seen a more attentive audience except at a Christian Science lecture."
