Twenty-six years ago Christian Science...

Twenty-six years ago Christian Science came into my experience and healed me of ill-health and despondency. I destroyed all medicines, and ever since then Truth has been my only physician. My family and I have been healed of many troubles, including pneumonia, kidney trouble, rheumatism, oak poisoning, abscesses, colds, and grief.

It is a comfort to know that God is ever present. The following beautiful demonstration of protection is an illustration. My son-in-law and I were driving home from town one night when a car, driven by one who was under the influence of alcohol, hit us as it came onto a cross street at a high speed. I saw the car coming directly at us, and I turned my thought to God, being grateful I knew that man dwells "in the secret place of the most High" (Ps. 91:1). The cars collided, and although they were both badly damaged, no one was injured. For a few minutes we simply thanked God for this marvelous protection.

At one time when I was visiting in my daughter's home, her husband was suffering from an abscessed tooth. He had scarcely slept or eaten for two weeks. Although the dentist was treating him, he was not getting any relief. He asked for Christian Science treatment, and I told him I would help him. About an hour later the pain was gone, and by morning all the swelling had disappeared and his jaw was normal. We were all very grateful for this healing.
