"Forgetting those things which are behind," he writes, "and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Here then is a wise forgetfulness and a resolve that is fraught with the most fruitful potentialities for our growth in grace.

In this clearly articulated resolve Paul allows us to see, as it were through a skylight, the dominating conception that shaped and colored all his endeavors in the service of Christ.
