God's guidance, wisdom, and...

God's guidance, wisdom, and love led me to the study of Christian Science more than thirty years ago. While visiting friends in another city I picked up the book Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Up to this time I had never heard of Christian Science. When I had finished reading the Preface and the chapter on Prayer, my thought was uplifted, and a great sense of joy and happiness came over me.

When I returned home, my husband presented me with copies of the Bible and Science and Health, and I began to study Christian Science in earnest. Through continual study and application of what I understood, we have had many blessings in our home, and there have been both physical and financial healings.

Our four children had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School. At one time our three sons contracted severe cases of athlete's foot. Although we were having treatment from a practitioner, my fear for the children, as well as the fear of criticism from relatives who were daily watching the children's progress, was great. Through the help I received from a Christian Science lecture and from reading an article in one of our periodicals, my fear soon disappeared, however. In a few days the boys' feet were normal, and the children returned to school completely healed.
