THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE GOSPEL
Breaking
through the clouds of darkness,
Black with error, doubt, and fear;
Lighting up each somber shadow,
With a radiance soft and clear;
Filling every heart with gladness,
That its holy power feels,
Comes the Christian Science gospel,
Sin it kills and grief it heals.
These words of a loved hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 29) describe graphically the experiences of men and women all over the world to whom Christian Science has brought healing and peace. Through clouds of darkness, pain, and fear the light of the Christ, Truth, has shone, and that which was unlike the light, unlike good, has been eliminated.
