"Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God" (Ps. 146:5). Many, many times this statement has proved to be true in my life. My parents began to study Christian Science when I was very young, and I never knew any other religion. I was taught from earliest childhood to look to God as my Father-Mother and to take my fears and troubles to Him. What a true friend Mrs. Eddy is for giving us Christian Science, which opens up to us as practical and demonstrable the Word of God in the pages of the Bible, and for making Christian Science so clear and simple that even little children can comprehend and demonstrate its truths.

Our first healing in Christian Science came to my grandmother during the first few months of her study of the textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. She was healed of constipation that had troubled her for forty years. The healing was complete and remained permanent.

Other members of the family have had healings of broken bones, of poisonous insect bites, of fears of many kinds, fevers, colds, and of many other difficulties.
