Having enjoyed the blessings of...

Having enjoyed the blessings of Christian Science for many years, I should like to express my deep appreciation of its benefits. Years ago I was healed of two so-called incurable diseases, and my three children and I have all had many other healings, some quick and others requiring more time and study. Some of my own healings have been of varicose veins, grippe, sore throat, colds, ptomaine poisoning, fear of nervous breakdown, burns, and of other things I could not name.

Our son was healed of ptomaine poisoning almost instantaneously. He lived at home during his college years, and one morning during examination time he awoke feeling quite ill. As he did not want to miss his examination, he decided to go over to college as usual. About eleven o'clock two of his professors brought him home, expressing great concern over his condition, one of them saving that we should call a doctor at once. Our son was in great pain, and after getting him onto a couch I called a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly assured me that she would take up the work at once. The healing took place in a very short time. He had no more pain and soon fell asleep, to awaken healed.

Our daughters have also had many proofs of God's care, and we are very grateful that all our seven grandchildren are learning how God protects and heals. My gratitude goes out to all the practitioners, who lovingly hold out a helping hand when we need them. Our church services, lectures, literature, and our beautiful hymns are all causes for deepest gratitude, as is also church membership. Words cannot express all we owe to Christian Science and to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving it to us.— (Mrs.) Ruth Coates Coit, Bloomfield, Connecticut.
