For many years I have enjoyed the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals and at the Wednesday testimony meetings. They have been a great help to me when working out problems, encouraging me when healing seemed slow. With heartfelt gratitude I should like to add some of my experiences. Perhaps they might help someone who is fighting for freedom from disease.

In 1925 I suffered a severe breakdown and was urged by the family physician to go to the country, where it would be quiet. I went, but instead of my getting better I grew worse. Deciding that I wanted to return home, I was driven in a rig to a nearby farm to telephone. Our horses not out of hand and ran away, and I was thrown to the ground, receiving an injury to my back.

I was taken to my home in the city in great distress. A friend who found me in that condition urged me to try Christian Science, which I consented to do. A practitioner was called and work was taken up. After three weeks I realized that I was healed, although I could not remember when the pain left. I forgot about Christian Science, however, after the healing took place, and I seemed to have no faith in anything.
