FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Growing Recognition of Our Religion

County Antrim, Northern Ireland

Instead of our waiting for an attack of error, the policy was pursued throughout the year of taking the initiative in Truth. A greatly increased use was made of our internationally known daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, of which nearly seven thousand copies were mailed to senators and members of the Northern Ireland House of Commons, officers of the Civil Service, chairmen of public boards, editors, members of the faculty at Queen's University, and last, but by no means least in importance, to committee members and officials at the Northern Ireland Regional Headquarters of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

There appears to be an increasing interest in Christian Science among the clergy. A Congregational church minister paid welcome tribute to Christian Science, for in his church he spoke of "Christ the Physician, as our friends the Christian Scientists can testify."
