As a young girl, through the help of a Christian Science practitioner I had an instantaneous healing of a painful functional disorder. The error just disappeared and has never returned.

Years later a small daughter, while visiting an amusement park, walked into the path of the heavy board seat of a rope swing, which hit her in the back with some force. Several people in the vicinity ran towards us offering aid. We refused the kindly offers and stood off by ourselves, working to know the truth as we are taught in Christian Science. The only evidence of the blow was a slight quivering of the child's chin, which soon passed away. Within a half-hour she went swimming, perfectly free.

During the depression years, our home was to be sold for unpaid taxes. I prayed over the problem, then was led to write to a practitioner for help in Christian Science. That same week everything worked out harmoniously. One member of the family was offered a much better-paying position, there was a check in the mail for an amount which more than covered the sum needed for the taxes, and another member of the family won a scholarship to college.
