I wish to express my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me. I was born and reared in Science and for a long time took it more or less for granted. I studied as we are taught to do, but I did not take it too seriously, always knowing that it was there whenever I needed it.

After swimming all one day, I awoke the next morning with what seemed to be a very bad cold. I declared the truth about it and also about God's man, and soon it was gone. Not long after this I noticed a large lump behind my ear. I did nothing about it until I noticed that it was getting larger and becoming quite painful. Finally I had to leave my position, as it was becoming quite noticeable. I tried to work the problem out myself, but was very fearful and felt I should have the help of a Christian Science practitioner, whom I called. The practitioner immediately took up the work, but the physical manifestation remained the same.
