Church Dedications
NOTE: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
BENDIGO, VICTORIA, AUSTRALIA (Society).
Members of Christian Science Society, Bendigo, dedicated their church edifice at 15 McKenzie Street on Sunday, February 26, 1950, with two services—one in the afternoon and the other in the evening.
The recovery of a woman in Bendigo from a serious illness in 1910 through absent treatment in Chris tian Science by a practitioner in Melbourne aroused general interest at that time. Shortly afterwards she became acquainted with a family recently arrived from Western Australia who were also interested in Christian Science. So the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly was read in the home of this family regularly each Sunday evening.
