Christian Science Committees on Publication DEFEND OUR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

[From annual reports]

Connecticut

It should become much clearer to all students of Christian Science what our revered Leader means when she writes in our Church Manual (Art. XXXIII, Sect. 2), "It shall be the duty of the Committee on Publication to correct in a Christian manner impositions on the public in regard to Christian Science, injustices done Mrs. Eddy or members of this Church by the daily press, by periodicals or circulated literature of any sort."

One definition of imposition is "trick or deception." The definition of impostor is "one who imposes upon others for the purpose of deception; a pretender." The pretender, the deceiver, the impostor, which is abroad in the world today, is the supposititious carnal mind in opposition to the divine Mind, the lie of the anti-Christ of materialism in opposition to infinite Spirit, God.
