THE STRAIGHT WAY
The shortest route to an objective is the straight way, the undeviating path. And so it is in Christian Science, the eternal Science of Christianity, which reveals God's omnipotence and names evil nothing.
The objective of Christian Science is to prove the presence and allness of divine Love and to dissipate the mist of evil thoughts and sense impressions that hide Love's spiritual creation. The straight way that leads to this objective is the way of demonstration, of actual proof that life in God is the only existence; and this demands not only accuracy in the letter of Science, but purity of spirit in its application. It requires ceaseless diligence in obeying the precepts which its Discoverer, Mary Baker Eddy, provides.
Christian Science interprets the Way-shower's great works as demonstrations of man's spiritual integrity as God's likeness—proofs that material existence is a dream from which men must be awakened.
