In 1933 I was suffering from a nervous breakdown. The physician informed me that he could do no more for me and advised me to try Christian Science. I called on a practitioner, who lovingly helped me through this wilderness experience, and in one month I was healed and obtained a position when employment seemed scarce. At the same time I was healed of anemia, headaches, constipation, and many false traits of character.
Mrs. Eddy informs us in Science and Health (p. 393), "The body seems to be self-acting, only because mortal mind is ignorant of itself, of its own actions, and of their results, —ignorant that the predisposing, remote, and exciting cause of all bad effects is a law of so-called mortal mind, not of matter." This proved to be a great help in bringing about the above healing. Knowing nothing about Christian Science, I clung to the first part of this statement and was shown that "Truth is always the victor" (ibid., p. 380).
I have also been healed of acute arthritis, stomach trouble, organic disturbances, sinus infection, hernia, pleurisy, resentment, and many other difficulties, mental, physical, and financial.
