I am thankful to God for Christian Science

I am thankful to God for Christian Science. Since I became a student of this religion and have read our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, daily, my life has entirely changed and I have been led in the right way.

I started to study this beautiful religion about twenty years ago. When arriving in this country, I was alone, without friends or family, and was even unfamiliar with the language. A short time after my arrival I saw a sign, Christian Science Reading Room; so I decided to enter to find out what kind of religion it was. I had been educated in an orthodox church during my childhood and while in the United States had investigated other religions to satisfy my curiosity. I asked the librarian to explain, to me something about Christian Science, and this was kindly done with an explanation as to what Science teaches. This information pleased me, and I began to study.

From that time my life was completely changed, and to my joy I was healed of the smoking and social drinking habits. These were my first healings. Better work on my part brought about improved connections and an increase in my daily supply. Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies." I have learned to turn to God whenever a problem or difficulty comes into my experience, and when I have applied the teachings of Christian Science, the problems have always been worked out in a very harmonious way. I have proved many times that when honesty and sincerity are our basis, God helps us.
