I wish to express my great gratitude...

I wish to express my great gratitude for Christian Science and for the light it brings into our lives. Early in my teens I had already turned away from religion, as I could not accept the concept of a God who sent both good and evil. In search of a higher meaning of life, I investigated various philosophies, but none proved satisfactory and entirely logical until at last I became acquainted with Christian Science.

I attended a lecture on this Science given in Paris and felt at once illumined by the clearness and logic of the lecturer's statements. Here was the concept of a God whom I could worship and adore, a God who is all-loving, all good, "of purer eyes than to behold evil." I procured the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began attending the services. This was over sixteen years ago, and since then Christian Science has become ever more precious to me. It has been a sure guide and help in all circumstances and has taught me to rely entirely on God.

Physically, also, I have had numerous proofs of the power of Truth over error. Colds and influenza have been quickly disposed of; a very painful attack of intestinal grippe and fever was overcome in two hours through the study of passages in Science and Health.
