"Gratitude and love should abide in every heart each day of all the years" (Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, Art. XVII, Sect. 2). I feel that now is the time to express my gratitude through the periodicals in order to help someone as I have been helped many times in the nearly thirty years that I have known Christian Science.

My mother's sister presented Christian Science to her at a time when several physicians, after lovingly giving all the help they could, said they could do no more and she would live only a short time. When Mother overcame her prejudice toward what she believed Christian Science to be, she rose from her bed, and since then she has spent many happy and useful years that have been full of domonstrations and growth.

About a year after my mother's healing and before my parents were firmly grounded in the truth, I became ill with what the physician termed Bright's disease, caused by ivy poisoning. One night after the doctor had been to see me, he told my parents that the crisis would come that night, but he went back to town and told a cousin of mine that he did not expect me to live through the night. After seeing his worried look, my parents took their stand and called a Christian Science practitioner for help. The next morning I was completely free.
