Christian Science came to me in 1916. For two years I had been treated for cancer by the best-known doctors and surgeons and had suffered three operations during that time, yet I was not cured. Then the doctors said that nothing more could be done and that I had only a short time to live. But "man's extremity is God's opportunity." A friend loaned me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I studied, and with the help of a practitioner I was healed in about two months' time. There has been no return of that trouble.

A broken collarbone and broken bones in my foot were healed by Christian Science treatment; powder burns on my face and hands were healed, leaving no scars; and headaches of long standing were also healed.

For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for the opportunity of serving in our Reading Room, I am deeply grateful. I am also grateful for the practitioners and for class instruction with a consecrated teacher.
